The CMR Institute of Management Studies admits students to higher education programmes through a systematic process that adheres to the educational norms of the Government of Karnataka and Bangalore University. The admission is primarily based on the marks secured in the qualifying examinations. It is, however, firmed up based on programme counselling and interview.
Commencement of admission to all undergraduate programmes four days after +2/PUC/ CBSE/ICSE/ or other board exam results are out.
Aspiring candidates are requested to send the duly-filled application form immediately after their +2/PUC/other board exam results are out. The application for UG programmes can be processed based on +1 /I PUC, under special considerations.
The interview and admission date will be informed to the candidate after the receipt of his / her duly-filled application form.
The eligibility criteria for admission to undergraduate courses as per Bangalore University Rules and Regulations are as follows:
1. BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)
Candidate who has passed the two year Pre-University examination/equivalent
2. B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce)
Candidate who has passed the two year Pre-University examination/equivalent.
Candidate who has passed Diploma in Secretarial/Commercial Practice conducted by the Board of Technical Examination, Karnataka may also be held eligible for admission directly to II Year / III Sem B.Com degree course.
Candidates who have passed Diploma in Business Administration conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education in Karnataka may be held eligible for admission to I Yr/Sem B.com degree course.
3. BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application)
Any candidate who has passed two year PUC or equivalent examination in Science, Arts or Commerce stream securing a minimum of 35 percentage of marks.
OR
Any candidate who has passed JODC or Diploma in Engg (of Three Years duration of Govt of Karnataka) with a minimum of 35 percentage of marks in aggregate in all the semesters/years.
